Examine your furnace filters monthly and change them if they are dirty to keep air cleaner and your furnace running more efficiently.

Gas fired appliances are a major source of carbon monoxide contamination in the home, and this can make you very ill or even kill you.

Most carbon monoxide fatalities occur while sleeping. Install good quality carbon monoxide detectors. Install them in all bedrooms and in rooms with gas log fireplaces.

A dirty furnace is more likely to fail; this can be costly and possibly even dangerous.

Have gas furnaces cleaned and inspected annually by a professional. The cost is generally recovered by a properly functioning and more efficient furnace.
